Are you natural or fake? The proposition appears deceptively simple, yet it exposes the norms through which bodies, identities, and modes of self-presentation acquire value. “The best of both worlds,” as Hannah Montana once said, becomes less a slogan than a condition of split presence. The blond wig does not simply mask an identity beneath it but constructs the conditions through which multiple identities become possible at once. Hannah and Miley, without hierarchy, circulating as a single continuous surface of representation and becoming.

Paula Punkstina is a Latvian visual artist whose work explores identity, fragility, and transitional states of disappearance. Combining philosophy with visual metaphors, her practice engages with the translation of concepts into form, foregrounding materiality as both method and site of inquiry.

Aida Valdés is a Spanish artist working across objects, images, and installations. By bringing together photographs, drawings, texts, and found materials, she generates new formal and symbolic relationships. Through processes of enlargement and displacement, she explores clichés, archetypes, and the transformation of familiar objects into autonomous forms.
