Blue’s Dream explores daydreaming or, as the Italian expression says, “sognare ad occhi aperti” (“dreaming with open eyes”). The exhibition moves between street scenes and domestic interiors, in both cases suggesting the act of wandering. Daydreaming here is not retreat, but exposure: eyes as fireflies, lanterns in dark fields or lighthouses blinking through storms, guiding us not to find our way, but to stop fearing being lost.

Maria Chiara Ziosi is a visual artist based in The Hague and a member of the artist-run space Trixie. She explores nostalgia and bittersweetness through diverse media, focusing on small gestures and overlooked moments. With fragmented storytelling and layered imagery, she creates open-ended scenes where joy and sadness coexist, revealing subtle social and emotional dynamics.
