OPENING 29 JANUARY 2026

29 JAN - 01 FEB 2026

Dear all,

What might the seemingly calm exterior of a building hold within it?

The exhibition I am still waiting for your reply, but I will start packing things up is a group show gathering works from Æon Teunissen, Carlos Colás González, Ouiee SY Park and Lianne Yuanzhu Smit. The exhibition does not open the building’s doors in the usual way; rather, it turns the building inside out, exposing it by the fact that it contains stories within.

The viewing process requires entering spaces together as a stranger, as a couple, as a family, as a community. 'Other families have been put up with the military service, having their member brought into the house unable to leave and still simmering, the anti-squat building left behind and a real estate agent ready to rent it out over and over again, the people living around abandoning the neighbourhood. A letter distributed throughout Provenierswijk and replying back to its dispatcher. Rules, scores and dogma's that no one intends to follow and vice versa. The experience of the witness is compelled to unfold and transpire, placing the house upside down while navigating it through integral dissonance and the subtlety of alternate construction.

Starting with the opening on January 29th at 19:00 and concluding with a finissage performance program on February 1st at The Crooked Studio, Rotterdam. We would like to invite you to dissect with us the corpse of this metamorphosing structure.

Warmly,

Æon, Carlos, Ouiee, Lianne

Carlos Colás González (1999) works through performance, sound poetry, writing and installation where he explores the condition of humanity as political beings, its power structures, material conditions, urban landscapes, microeconomies and cultural hegemonies blending materialist phenomenology with DIY aesthetics.

Lianne Yuanzhu Smit (2003) is a multidisciplinary artist who forensically constructs quotidian dynamics in which the human condition is dissected and reinterpreted through performance, video and language.

Æon Teunissen (2002), the bagpipe, mood as linguistic form, aubergine purple, neurodivergent rendering, the sternum;
